It is indeed an exciting time to be alive and witness the great works of the Almighty and Living God in our region!
South Asia represents nearly one-third of the world’s population with one of the world’s religions dominating in all the countries. It is a blessed region with various people groups co-habiting harmoniously.
Major world religions are majorities in all the countries. It is a very religious part of the world. The percentage of irreligious people are very negligible. India and Nepal are Hindu absolute majority countries while Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Maldives are Muslim absolute majority countries while Sri Lanka and Bhutan are Buddhists majority countries as well. Christians are micro-minority in all the countries of the region who are faithfully following the Lord as he has commanded them to be.
Lord Jesus who has given us the great commission also told us to be the salt and the light to our world. And indeed, Christians have been the salt and the light wherever they are.
More and more people are putting their trust and hope in Jesus Christ in a chaotic and fallen world more than ever before in the history of the region.
It is an exciting time to be a follower of Christ and be part of witnessing and to be part of the great harvest and bringing blessings to others one way or the other.
The message of the gospel of Lord Jesus Christ gives hope and endurance, joy and peace which Christ Jesus promises that He alone can give. We are excited to help people find true joy and inner peace and abundance and to be delivered from all kinds of bondage and of course to get eternal life through Christ our Lord.
The suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross for the sins of man, his death and his ultimate resurrection continue to give hope and life to millions of people in our region as it is around the world.
The Olivet Assembly in the region desires to be part of the great witness and harvest and also to help member churches take care of the sheep of the pasture like Christ, the true Shepherd.
