OA Churches Participate in National Day of Prayer

A hand of prayer

Churches under Olivet Assembly of India participated in the National Day of Prayer 2019 initiated by the Evangelical Fellowship of India.

OA churches are glad that EFI is taking such an important initiative for the churches in the country to intercede for the country and her people. OA India is a member of EFI Council of Churches (EFICC).

Nationaldayofprayer.in website stated:

Recognizing the need for intercession, the Evangelical Fellowship of India humbly initiated a “National Day of Prayer Campaign” in 2017.

The EFI Member Churches and Bodies resolved to observe the Sunday closest to Independence Day of India as our National Day of Prayer: a day when we praise God for our Nation and intercede for its needs and issues.

This year EFI calls for the observance of the National Day of Prayer on 18th August 2019 across India to earnestly intercede for our country, our leaders and our fellow citizens.

An appeal was made to all Churches, Prayer Movements, Christian organizations and individual Christians across denominations, to observe 18th August 2019, which is a Sunday, as a day dedicated to prayer for the well-being, peace and prosperity of our country.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14

May the Lord answer the prayers of the saints.
